Three Amazing Facts About Sunflowers
Sunflower Session

As Our Sunflower Season Comes to a Close…
As we wrap up another beautiful sunflower season, I wanted to share three fun (and pretty amazing) facts about these golden blooms that have captured so many hearts—and camera lenses—this summer.
1. Sunflowers don’t last long!
Sunflowers have a short bloom time, typically lasting only 2 to 3 weeks. That’s why it’s so important to plan ahead when scheduling sunflower photo sessions. If you blink, you might miss their peak beauty!
2. You can eat them—really!
Have you ever eaten a sunflower seed? Their seeds are not only delicious but also packed with nutrients. Sunflower seeds are a valuable source of food for both humans and animals. They’re a little reminder that beauty and purpose often go hand in hand.
3. They follow the light—and the Son.
Young sunflowers are known for their ability to track the sun as it moves across the sky—a process called heliotropism. But here’s something even more fascinating: once sunflowers reach maturity, they usually stop moving and settle facing east.
As a believer, this gives me chills. The Bible tells us that our Lord Jesus will return through the Eastern Gate of Jerusalem. Isn’t it beautiful to think that even the sunflowers are turned toward the coming of the true Son?
Thank you for making this sunflower season so special. Whether you visited the field, booked a session, or just admired them from afar, I’m so grateful to share these moments with you.
Until next season,🌻 Bekah Ball
